A Word from the Minister - Ronnie Roberts

The hallway was full of life and it seems as if every room had some kind of activity taking place.  It was the beginning of our Wednesday night program after a long summer break.  The Kids Club had a great start as they celebrated their beginning.  The adults began with a total of five different classes to choose from.  There was a positive response from several individuals, not just for the evening's results but also for the good start to some great opportunities to come.

The good news is there is room for more.  Come join us Wednesday nights at 7:00 PM.  You'll find us everywhere in the building.

A Word from the Associate Minister - Kurt Rovenstine

Did you know that we have given 105 Bibles to families in China that otherwise would not have had the opportunity to have access to God's Word?  That is an awesome thing.  That has the potential to change lives for eternity.  Don't forget to bring your spare change and maybe a bill or two and drop it in the jar for missions.  If you can't find the jar, it is usually in the big room in the basement.  Everyone doing a little can make a huge difference.  Thanks for helping with this ongoing project.

MISSION MATTERS

   School of Missions

October 5-9

Sunday morning, the 5th of October, will begin our School of Missions.  Darel Boston will lead our worship hour and inspire us for the work in missions.

Sunday evening, we will eat at 5:30 PM and at 6:00 PM, Tony Bedora will talk about Campus Christians.  Tony grew up in the suburbs of Kansas City and attended KU where he became a Christian through the Campus Christians ministry.

Monday, October 6th, we will eat at 6:30 PM and following the meal, Dr. Wesley Paddock will enlighten us on the mission of T.C.M. (Taking Christ to the Millions).  Wes is a professor at Manhattan Christian College and has been involved in missions since 1968.

Tuesday, the meal will be at 6:30 PM followed by Phil McAfee talking about his work in Brazil.  Phil has been associated with missionary work since he was 7 years old.  His father, Dale, was a missionary to Brazil for 20 years.

Wednesday evening following our 6:30 PM meal, Gary Finley will discuss the work of I.D.E.S. (International Disaster Emergency Service) where he has been the Director of Development since June of this year.  Gary has been in the Christian ministry for over 25 years, has served in three states, and was a former church planting missionary to Sao Luis, Brazil.

Thursday evening our final meal at 6:30 PM will be followed by Alex Warner, who represents C.I.C.M. (Central India Christian Mission).  He is a board member and treasurer of that mission and has been with them for four years.  He has visited India twice and became a Christian at the age of 41.

The Missions Team is excited to host this event and urge all to attend!
